Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 9/10 cup sweet butter
  • 9/10 cup confectioner's sugar

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients in food processor.
  2. Turn out dough on lightly floured surface.
  3. Shape dough into thick sausage 12 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. Chill for at least 1 hour in plastic wrap.
  4. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease baking sheets.
  5. Cut .25 inch thick slices and space them slightly apart on baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, changing position of baking sheets until cookies are pale gold around the edges. Leave for 5 minutes then transfer to cool.
