Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups flour , sifted
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups blackberries

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and mix well.
  2. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternatively with milk to the first mixture.
  3. Add berries, taking caution not to crush them.
  4. Steam in a well-greased 2 quart mold for two hours.
  5. Serve with sweetened cream flavored with vanilla extract.
