Alaina's Best Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Sift salt, baking soda and flour together; set aside.
  2. Cream butter, add brown sugar, white sugar, a little at a time, creaming after each addition until mixture is nice and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.
  4. Add sifted ingredients and mix.
  5. Add cinnamon, blended oatmeal and raisins; mix well.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 13 minutes until slightly browned.
  8. Cool cookies and store in an airtight container.
