Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs, very finely crushed (1 package)

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar and vanilla. At low speed, bet in eggs, one at a time, alternately with crumbs. With rubber spatula, fold in coconut and nuts.
  2. Turn into a well greased 9x9x2-inch cake pan.
  3. Bake in a preheated 325F oven for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
