Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a food processor pulse the chickpeas, chilies, parsley until finely chopped.
  2. Transfer mixture to a medium bowl.
  3. Stir in bread crumbs, salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir in the egg.
  5. Form mixture into 4 patties, about 2/3 inches thick.
  6. In a large skillet heat oil over medium-low heat.
  7. Cook the burgers for 4 minutes.
  8. Flip over and cook for 3 more minutes.
  9. If desired, top the patties with cheese for the last minute of cooking.
  10. Serve burgers with ketchup, Dijon mustard and or mayonnaise.
