Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt ( i omit)
  • 1 (16 oz) can prunes
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 tsp salt (i do not omit this )
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp cold water
  • 1/8 tsp allspice

Directions:

  1. Ham Loaf:.
  2. Combine brown sugar and cloves; pat in bottom of a 9X5X3 inch loaf pan.
  3. Combine meats, corn flake crumbs, eggs, milk, green pepper, and salt; mix well.
  4. Spoon mixture into loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  6. Invert on to serving platter and serve with Plum Sauce.
  7. Plum Sauce:.
  8. Drain plums, reserving juice; pit plums and set aside.
  9. Combine plum juice, lemon juice, cinnamon stick, and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  10. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water; add to juice mixture, stirring until smooth.
  11. Stir in allspice.
  12. Bring to a boil and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
  13. (about 1 minute).
  14. Remove from Heat and stir in plums.
  15. Remove cinnamon stick.
