  1. Simmer beans for 1 hr. do not drain all of the liquid.
  2. Slowly stir in each ingredient.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer over low heat for 15-20 mins. be sure to stir at the midway point
  4. Salt and pepper to taste.
