Ingredients:

  • 2 cups butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in egg and vannila extract.
  4. Add flour and cornstarch and mix just until blended.
  5. Add food coloring and refrigerrate for 3 hours (optional).
  6. Transfer dough to cookie press.
  7. Press onto ungreased backing sheets forming any shape you want.
  8. Bake until light brown and firm to touch,about 10 minutes.
  9. Transfer to racks and cool.
  10. Store in air tight container.
