Rich Chocolate Banana Pie

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Place banana slices in bottom of cooled baked pie shell.
  2. Stir together sugar, cornstarch and salt in 2 quart Pyrex measuring cup.
  3. Combine egg yolks and milk add to dry ingredients.
  4. Cook in micro, whisking occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.
  5. Microwave for 1 minute more.
  6. Remove from micro, whisk pie mixture smooth.
  7. Whisk in butter and vanilla.
  8. Add 2 cups chocolate chips, stir until chips are melted and mixture is well blended.
  9. Pour into prepared pie shell over bananas.
  10. Cool.
  11. Meanwhile whip whipping cream and pudding for 1-2 minutes at medium speed.
  12. Spread on top of chocolate filling.
  13. Refrigerate covered several hours or overnight.
