Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Add ingredients into bread maker and use 'Dough' function. Divide in half and roll out into circles. Slice circles into 3 pie shaped wedges.
  2. Mix apples, sugar cinnamon and nutmeg.
  3. Melt butter, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon and apple cider or juice over a medium low flame. Stir well and cook for about 5 minutes until thick. Be careful not to burn mixture.
  4. Fill each triangle with apple mix and pinch in the edges to create a triangular dumpling. Grease a medium baking dish and line the dumplings at the bottom. When they all fit, pour the syrup ontop.
  5. Bake in an oven preheated to 350F for 20-30 minutes, basting every ten minutes or so. Depending on your oven they might be done sooner - check to see them golden on top then remove - they should be slightly undercooked at the bottom.
