Ingredients:

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp dry yeast
  • 2 cups flour , unsifted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 6 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp cumin

Directions:

  1. DOUGH:.
  2. Mix butter, sugar, and buttermilk in a microwave safe container.
  3. Microwave on high for about 1-11/2 minutes or until warm- NOT HOT. Set aside.
  4. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Add buttermilk mixture, stirring until well mixed. Turn out on well-floured board and knead until smooth. Roll out with rolling pin and put in large, lightly greased pizza pan.
  5. SAUCE:.
  6. Mix tomato sauce, paste, and seasonings in a small bowl and spread on dough with the back of a spoon. Top with cheese and desired toppings.
  7. Bake at 450 degrees for about 12 minutes or until edges of crust are golden brown.
