Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp cold water

Directions:

  1. Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle water over flour mixture, and stir with a fork until ingredients are moistened. Shape pastry into a ball; chill.
