Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon , zest of
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 4 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 400 F degrees.
  2. Combine pears with white sugar, lemon juice, and lemon peel.
  3. Place in greased 8 inch square baking dish.
  4. Combine oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and ginger.
  5. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle crumb mixture over pears.
  7. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, until topping is crisped.
  8. Serve warm.
