YUM! Fruit Crisps are great desserts! Ingredients:
6 cups sliced fresh pears |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1/2 teaspoon lemon, zest of |
1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal |
1/3 cup brown sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
4 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 400 F degrees. 2. Combine pears with white sugar, lemon juice, and lemon peel. 3. Place in greased 8 inch square baking dish. 4. Combine oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and ginger. 5. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. 6. Sprinkle crumb mixture over pears. 7. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, until topping is crisped. 8. Serve warm. |
