Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup confectioner' s sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour -- sifted
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Cream the shortening, peanut butter, and sugars together. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. Sift the flour, soda and salt together, and add gradually to the creamed mixture. Beat well.
  4. Drop from a teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with a floured fork.
  5. Bake at 350 F. for 12 to 15 minutes.
