Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cups oatmeal
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • topping....
  • 1 cup brown sugar , 1 cup nuts

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven at 350F.
  2. Boil 1 1/2 cup water.
  3. Pour over 1 cups oatmeal and set aside
  4. In mixer, add all ingredients, 1 cup butter,1 cup sugar,1 cup brown sugar, 3 eggs, 1 1/2 cup flour, 1 teaspoon soda,1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
  5. Add cooled oatmeal.
  6. Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2 pan.
  7. Mix topping 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup nuts .
  8. Pour on cake.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes.
