Maine Boiled Lobsters

Ingredients:

  • 4 large live lobsters (1 1/2 lbs or larger)
  • 2 gallons water

Directions:

  1. Bring the salted water to a boil in a pot large enough to hold the lobsters.
  2. Rinse the lobsters under cold water and quickly slide them into the boiling water.
  3. Cover the pot and simmer gently until the lobsters turn completely red, in about 6 minutes.
  4. Drain in a colander and serve immediately with melted butter or extra-virgin olive oil.
