Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Mix flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
  3. Make a nest in the flour mixture, then add milk and shortening.
  4. Mix good with hands till it forms a sticky ball.
  5. Knead the dough ball on a floured surface 6-8 times.
  6. Roll or pat dough down to 1/2 inch thickness.
  7. Cut into 2-3 inch biscuits.
  8. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  9. Cook for 10-13 minutes until golden brown.
