Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter over hot water or in microwave on medium 4 minutes.
  3. Remove and stir well.
  4. Let cool.
  5. Beat the eggs until lemon colored.
  6. Gradually add sugar, beating until thick, about 3 minutes.
  7. Stir in chocolate.
  8. Fold in flour, vanilla, nuts, and 1 cup of the candied cherries.
  9. Pour into two greased and floured 8 square pans.
  10. Arrange remaining cherries on top.
  11. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
  12. Do not over bake as they should be very moist in the center.
  13. When cool, cut into 2 squares.
  14. Makes about 32
