Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup. shortening
  • 1 cup. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 cup. flour
  • 1 cup. milk
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Add beaten eggs.
  3. Mix powder,nutmeg and salt with 1 C. flour.
  4. Alternate milk and rest of the flour.
  5. Hand mix to a nice stretchy dough.
  6. Flour rolling pin and canvas,roll out to 1/4 thick and cut into small strips.
  7. Deep fry in shortening,drain onto paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar.Yummy!!!!!!!!!!
