Grammie Bea's Molasses Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp clove
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. First 4 ingredients:.
  2. Cream sugar and shortening, then add molasses and eggs. Beat together.
  3. Last 5 ingredients:.
  4. Add dry ingredients to creamed ingredients. Beat well.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 300, for 15 minutes.
  7. Cool on cookie rack.
  8. Store in a sealed plastic container.
