Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Spray bottom of a 9 inch springform pan or round cake pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Combine flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and allspice in a large bowl. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg whites and then whisk in milk.
  4. Whisking well after each addition; add molasses, and margarine.
  5. When well blended, stir in applesauce.
  6. Add milk mixture to dry ingredients, mixing just until moistened. Do not overmix.
  7. Our into prepared pan. Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool 10 minutes on wire rack; remove from pan onto platter.
  9. Prepare icing by mixing ingredients until smooth. Pour over cake.
