Easy Homemade Pizza Crust

Ingredients:

  • prep time includes the doughs resting time
  • 2 and 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp plus 2 tsp of olive oil
  • 1 cup lukewarm water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Lightly grease a 12 by 9 inch baking sheet
  3. Sift the flour and salt into a large bowl
  4. Stir in the yeast
  5. Make a well in the center and add the olive oil and lukewarm water
  6. Mix until a soft dough forms
  7. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for five minutes
  8. Press the dough into the prepared baking sheet
  9. Cover and allow to rest for 10 minutes
  10. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes
  11. Remove the crust from the oven and top with your family's favorite pizza toppings
  12. Return the pizza to the oven and bake 15 to 20 minutes until cheese is hot and melted
  13. Cut and eat yummy
