Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven 350.
  2. In large mixing bowl beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir together flour, cocoa, bakiung soda, and salt; add to butter mixture.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips, and if desired, nuts.
  5. Drop bu rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or jsut until set.
  7. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
