Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F.
  2. Grease and line two loaf pans.
  3. Combine in a saucepot over med.
  4. Heat, the date, water, butter, and vanilla.
  5. Cook five minutes.
  6. Let cool.
  7. Add egg, and sugar.
  8. Add flour and salt, and soda.
  9. Fold in the nuts.
  10. Blend well.
  11. Pour into prepared loaf pans, and bake 60 minutes-.
