Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave (750 power) on low, or in a basin over hot water. Stir until chocolate is melted, then cool.
  2. Sift the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder together.
  3. Beat the butter and brown sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, and mix well. Mix in the cooled melted chocolate.
  4. Reduce speed to low and add the flour mixture in two batches, alternating with the milk. Wrap the dough in cling wrap and refigerate until the dough is firm. (This will take at least 2 hours).
  5. When about to bake, preheat the oven to 175c (fan forced 155c). Line the trays with baking paper.
  6. Roll the dough into 2-5cm balls and roll in the caster sugar to coat then.
  7. Toss the balls in the icing sugar and place balls on the lined trays about 5cm apart.
  8. Bake biscuits fior about 15 minutes or until the surfaces crack. Remove from oven and cool on tray.
