Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray an 8 x 8 square pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Melt butter in large saucepan.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in brown sugar.
  7. Next, beat in egg and almond extract.
  8. Mix coconut with dry ingredients and gradually add to butter-sugar mixture.
  9. Spread in pan.
  10. Bake 35 minutes or until brown.
  11. Cool 10 minutes in pan; remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
  12. Cut into 24 bars.
  13. ENJOY!
