Chocolate Old-fashioned Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 9 inch pie shell
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Directions:

  1. Bake pie crust according to directions and let cool.
  2. Combine all remaining ingredients in a large pot and heat to a simmer, stirring constantly until thickened.
  3. Remove pan from burner and place a piece of plastic wrap directly on top of chocolate filling.
  4. Let pan stand until cool.
  5. Spoon filling into pie crust (it will be very thick).
  6. Serve with whipped cream.
