Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate Loaves (Amish Starter)

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups amish starter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar ( feel free to decrease this to 1/4 cup)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (may sub creme de menthe baking chips for chocolate mint bread over the holidays)

Directions:

  1. Mix together the wet ingredients, then stir in the dry ingredients – adding the chocolate chips last.
  2. Pour into 5 greased mini loaf pans and bake at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
