Chef Bob's Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 8 tbsp cocoa ( heaping)
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 5 cups quick oats

Directions:

  1. Bring milk, shortening, cocoa, and sugar to a boil for 2-3 minutes - melting the sugar.
  2. Add peanut butter and vanilla. Stir and add oats.
  3. Stir again then drop by spoonfuls on wax paper. Allow to cool and set.
