California Style Pizza Dough

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water (110 - 115f)
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Directions:

  1. Pour water into bowl and sprinkle yeast in, stir to dissolve and set aside.
  2. Combine salt and flour and mix with paddle attachment for 1 minute. (This is where you would add extra herbs and spices)
  3. Add yeast and oil and mix with the paddle for one minute
  4. Switch to the dough hook and mix on med speed for 3-5 minutes, until smooth and elastic
  5. Place in an oiled bowl, cover and let rest in a warm are for about 1.5 hours
  6. On floured surface punch dough down lightly with heels of hands.
  7. Form into crusts top and bake in oven at 500f for approximately 11- 12 minutes.
