Blue Cheese Date Wraps

Ingredients:

  • 12 slices bacon
  • 36 large pitted dates
  • 2/3 cup crumbled blue cheese (or as needed)

Directions:

  1. Slice each bacon strip into thirds.
  2. Place the bacon strips onto a baking sheet then bake at 350 degrees F until just partially cooked but not crisp (or you may fry the strips in a skillet) remove and place onto paper towels to drain.
  3. Carefully cut a slit in the center of each date then fill with blue cheese.
  4. Wrap a piece of bacon around each stuffed date.
  5. Secure with a wooden toothpick (do not use colored toothpicks for this).
  6. Place onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 375 degrees F for about 10 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.
