Ingredients:

  • 2 quarts blackberries
  • 5 cups sugar
  • 3 cups hot water

Directions:

  1. Run blackberries through colander then squeeze through coarsely woven cloth extracting every possible bit of pulp but no seeds.
  2. Mix sugar and hot water then stir and bring to boil and boil for 15 minutes.
  3. Combine lemon juice, blackberries and syrup.
  4. Cool and freeze.
