Banana Chocolate Chip Bars

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup softened margarine or 3/4 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup mashed banana (about 2 bananas)
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 (12 oz) bag chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Cream together butter and sugars until fluffy.
  2. Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
  3. Stir in banana.
  4. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt and add to creamed mixture. Beat well.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Spread in 15-1/2 x 10 x 1 inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Cool and cut into bars.
