Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 finely chopped pared apple
  • 1/2 cup pecans or 1/2 cup walnuts

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in pan.
  2. Remove from heat and beat in sugars, egg and vanilla.
  3. Stir in dry ingredients, apple and nuts.
  4. Spread in 8 x 8 greased pan.
  5. Sprinkle with approximately 1 T. cinnamon-sugar.
  6. Bake 30 minute at 350 degrees.
  7. Cool and cut into squares.
