Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 oz butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp clove
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
  3. Cream butter & brown sugar in bowl.
  4. Add egg & milk.
  5. Stir in apples.
  6. Add flour, baking soda, & spices, & mix well.
  7. Add dates & nuts.
  8. Spread in greased pan and bake 20 - 25 minutes.
  9. Cool 10 minutes before cutting.
