Ingredients:

  • 3 large apples-thinly sliced (a sweet variety such as red delicious)peeled or unpeeled
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl,combine cake mix and butter. Mix until crumbly.
  2. Set aside 1 cup and press the rest of the mixture into a lightly greased 9 x 13 x 2 baking pan.
  3. Arrange apple slices over crust.
  4. Blend together sour cream and egg. Spread over apples.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together with reserved cake mix crumb mixture. Sprinkle over the top.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cut into squares and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
