Andrea's Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups oats
  • 1 3/4 cups flour , all-purpose
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups raisins

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix brown sugar, lard, milk, and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. (I do all the mixing for this in my Kitchen-aid. Then my arm doesn't get sore. HA!)
  2. Drop the dough by tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet and cool.
