Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 (12 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°.
  2. Grease cookie sheets.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt.
  6. Stir into the creamed mixture until well blended.
  7. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips, coconut and almonds.
  8. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
