Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups applesauce
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • frosting
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375º.
  2. Cream sugar and butter for cake then add remaining ingredients.
  3. Bake in a 9” square pan for 30-40 minutes.
  4. Cool.
  5. Mix together frosting ingredients and frost cake when completely cool.
