Southern Sugared Peanuts (Paula Deen)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F.
  2. Dissolve sugar and salt in water in saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Add peanuts.
  4. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until peanuts are completely sugared (coated and no syrup left).
  5. Pour onto ungreased cookie sheet, spreading so that peanuts are separated as much as possible.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
  7. Let cool and serve.
