Smoky Sauce for Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup no-salt-added ketchup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 1/2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Directions:

  1. Whisk all of the ingredients together until smooth.
  2. Boil the sauce very briefly and then simmer for half to three quarters of an hour until it has thickened.
  3. Use on pork spareribs or in any of your barbecued meat recipes.
  4. Store refrigerated – will last for a few weeks.
