  1. Dissolve sugar in boiling water.
  2. Add lemon rind & juice.
  3. TO SERVE:.
  4. Combine cold water, lemon mixture & ice in a large pitcher.
  5. Stir well.
  6. If desired, garnish each serving with a sprig of fresh mint &/or a cherry.
