Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 tbsp orange zest

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 375*.
  2. Cream butter and sugar.
  3. Add egg,and vanilla, beat well.
  4. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
  5. Add to creamed mixture.
  6. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  7. Drop by rounded teaspoons, 2 inches apart, on greased sheet.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes, or until edges start to brown lightly.
  9. Cool on wire racks.
