Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz london dry gin
  • 1 1/2 oz orange juice
  • 1 tsp grenadine
  • 1/2 tsp herbsaint or pastis
  • 1 martini glass
  • 1 strip orange peel

Directions:

  1. Place liquid ingredients in cocktail shaker. Add cracked ice and shake thoroughly to chill. Strain into lovely martini glass. Twist peel over drink to release a bit of oil, rub rim with peel and discard. Serve and get rave reviews.
  2. (original 1923 recipe called for a dash or raspberry or other sweet juice like grenadine)
