Doctored Up Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 package. fudge brownie mix
  • 1 package. white baking pieces
  • 1 cup. semi sweet baking pieces
  • 1/4 cup. butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp. hot water
  • 2 cup. powdered sugar , sifted
  • 1/4 cup. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °
  2. Grease bottom of 13 x 9 pan and set aside.
  3. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions.
  4. Stir in half of white pieces, all of semi sweet pieces and 1/2 cup pecan pieces.
  5. Spread batter into pan.
  6. Bake about 30 minutes or until center is set.
  7. Sprinkle with the remaining white pieces, bake for 1 more minute.
  8. Cool in pan on wire rack.
  9. For frosting, in a small bowl combine melted butter and hot water, then stir in powdered sugar, cocoa, and vanilla.
  10. Beat by hand until smooth.
  11. Spoon over top of brownies.
  12. Sprinkle with the remaining pecan pieces.
  13. Cool about 1 1/2 hours or until frosting is set.
  14. Cut into bars.
  15. Makes about 36 brownies.
