Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cream butter with sugar in large bowl.
  2. Mix in vanilla.
  3. Stir in flour and spices.
  4. Add pecans and dates and mix thoroughly.
  5. Shape into walnut-size balls.
  6. Transfer to wax paper lined tray.
  7. Freeze 15 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  9. Grease baking sheets.
  10. Arrange cookies, spacing 1 inch apart.
  11. Bake until golden, 15-20 minutes.
  12. Roll in icing sugar.
  13. Let cool slightly.
  14. Roll in icing sugar again.
  15. Store in airtight container.
