Creamy Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325*.
  2. Process the cookies until finely ground. You can use a food processor, blender or do it the old fashioned way like me and crush in a bowl with a potato masher!
  3. Add butter and mix together complelety.
  4. Press crumb mixture into bottom of 8 x 8 baking pan and bake for 10 min.
  5. Cool to room temperature
  6. Melt chocolate in double brolier over slightly simmering water. Or microwave chocolate(this is the way I do it) stirring every 30 seconds until completely melted.
  7. Pour half of the melted chocolate into pan and smooth evenly over crust.
  8. Place pan in refrigerator.
  9. Keep remaining chocolate warm.
  10. To prepare the Peanut butter filling,
  11. Blend peanut butter and butter together until smooth using a food processor or electric mixer.
  12. Slowly beat in contectioners sugar and then add vanilla.
  13. Beat until smooth.
  14. Spread peanut butter filling over the chilled chocolate layer.
  15. Finishing by pouring remaining warm chocolate over filling and spread.
  16. Chill in refrgerator one hour or until firm.
  17. Cut into bars and serve.
