Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl beat the eggs, sugar and 1/4 cup vegetable oil.
  2. Add lemon extract, mix well.
  3. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg, stir into egg mixture alternately with milk.
  4. Cover and refrigerate over night.
  5. Divide dough in half.
  6. Roll out one portion to 1/4 inch thickness.
  7. Cut with a floured round 1 1/2 inch cookie cutter.
  8. Repeat with remaining dough.
  9. In an electric skillet or deep fryer heat oil to 375°F.
  10. Fry doughnuts for about 4 minutes or until golden brown, turning once with a slotted spoon.
  11. Drain on paper towels.
  12. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
