Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 2/3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 cup pumpkin

Directions:

  1. Combine oil, eggs, 1/3 cup water and pumpkin.
  2. Stir together flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
  3. Gradually beat dry ingredients into pumpkin mixture.
  4. Stir in candied cherries and nuts.
  5. Pour into greased and lightly floured 9x5x3 loaf pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until tester inserted comes out clean.
